In order to build and sustain a personalized learning system, the personalized learning coaches and/or lead teachers need direct support to help implement the “How to Personalize Learning” – Getting Started Professional Learning Series with teachers in the classroom.
Introducing…
Getting Started Coaching Program – Parts 1, 2 and 3
To create a self-sustainable personalized learning system, districts or organizations can design a coaching program with their teacher leaders and coaches using the Getting Started Coaching Program. We work with districts to identify the coaches after they complete the 5 W’s of Personalized Learning Self-paced eCourse or Make Learning Personal Virtual Book Study and then provide a face-to-face workshop for each part of the Getting Started Coaching Program on how they can support and implement personalized learning with their colleagues in the classroom and virtually.
Coaches’ Community of Practice
To implement and successfully sustain personalized learning across the school community, we guide teachers and coaches in setting up and maintaining a Community of Practice (CoP) for ongoing conversations and for coaches to provide virtual support for their teachers.
Getting Started Coaching Program – Part 1, 2 and 3 are aligned to:
- InTASC Standards Assessment, #7: Planning for Instruction, #8: Instructional Strategies
- Educator Competencies: Cognitive Competencies – 1, 3; Instructional Domain – 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8
- ISTE Standards for Coaches
